Rob Spicer is a Senior Associate at MU, where he represents healthcare organizations, staffing agencies, and IT companies in a wide range of employment-based immigration matters. Since joining the firm in 2018, Rob has developed particular expertise advising healthcare staffing companies on complex immigration strategies involving H-1B, TN, PERM, and I-140 petitions. He also supports clients through Department of Labor audits and policy changes that uniquely impact staffing models.
Rob’s work includes guiding clients through the full spectrum of employment-based sponsorship, from initial visa filings to green card processing, with a focus on practical solutions for workforce planning and compliance. He also assists international medical professionals and allied health workers with navigating visa transitions, including F-1 to H-1B and H-1B to green card pathways.
Before joining the firm full-time, Rob clerked at MU while earning his J.D. from Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law. He served as an associate editor of the Northern Kentucky Law Review, where he published a student note on the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and cybersecurity policy (44 N. KY. L. REV. 83). Prior to law school, he worked on a contract proposal team for a national healthcare staffing company—a background that continues to inform his nuanced understanding of the challenges facing employers in the industry.
Rob is admitted to the Ohio Bar.
